Chamonix, France

Today is a day off in Chamonix, France. We rode into France yesterday afternoon from Italy. As I was riding through Italy I felt that there was a lot of machoism. I stopped to use the restroom at a small gas station with a pit bull in front of it. The man nodded me in the right direction and I used a pretty smelly bathroom. Italy is beautiful, but I think the next time I visit I want to go to the southern part.
Anne-Sophie (President of the French unicycle Federation) came in late last night and is spending today with us and will leave tomorrow. I am looking forward to visiting with her in the south of France (Aix-en-Provence) next week. Her parents have a house there. I am feeling more reassured that my French works fine and I will be able to meet French unicyclists.
